Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

When couples decide to go their separate ways, they can talk it over – sometimes calmly, sometimes not – but what do the pets go through?  How do they know what is going on when their mom and dad go to different corners?  Why aren’t they together?  What did we do to cause this?  Pets (as well as young children) don’t understand the complexity of relationships, nor should they necessarily need to know all the details.  They just want to know “what about me”?

I recently spoke with a client going through this very situation and she asked me to speak with her two dogs, Sarge and Little Man – two male greyhounds, 7 and 5 years old respectively.  Sarge is the strong stoic one who doesn’t show much emotion.  Little Man is the sensitive guy who shows his concerns very vocally.

Frances:  Mom and dad are not going to live together and mom will be living someplace else.  It’s nothing you two did to cause this, it is something that humans sometimes go through.  Does that make sense to you?

Sarge:  Yes, but what about us?
Frances:  That’s what I want to talk to you each about individually ok?
Sarge:  Yeah, I guess so, but we will listen to each other too.
Frances:  That is perfect.  So Little Man I want to start with you, ok?

Little Man:  Ok – but am I staying with dad or mom?
Frances:  Which would you like to stay with?
Little Man:  If I stay with mom, will I never see dad or if I stay with dad, will I never see mom?
Frances:  You tell me what you would like, that’s why I am talking with you.
Little Man:  I love dad but I’m more close with mom – she understands me when I get scared and she knows how to comfort me.  I know dad loves me, but mom understands me more.  I don’t want to hurt dad’s feelings and I will miss Sarge, but I really want to be with mom.
Frances:  Thank you, Little Man, I know that is hard to say to me and I appreciate you telling me your feelings.  In case it happens where dad wants you to stay with him, will you be ok with that?
Little Man:  Yes, of course, I know he loves me and I love him too.
Frances:  Would you want to visit with mom or dad depending on who you stay with?
Little Man:  I would as long as it isn’t hurtful to either one to see each other.
Frances:  Little Man, you are so considerate of their feelings – I’m so honored to be talking with you.  You are much more mature than many humans, do you know that?
Little Man:  Well, I never really thought about that, I just know being kind and loving is all I know, I’m very blessed.
Frances:  Yes, you certainly are blessed with two loving people who care for you very much.  Anything you want to tell mom and dad?
Little Man: Please tell mom and dad I love them both very much and I’m sorry you are going through this situation.  I am grateful for you choosing me to be in your family and will always remember the good times.  Whatever happens I want you both to be happy and I will be happy with whatever you decide.
Frances:  Thank you, Little Man. Sarge it’s your turn.

Sarge:  Ok I’m ready, so you want to know what I want?
Frances:  Yes, please share what you would like.
Sarge:  I would like to stay with dad since we were together longer, I feel he is my person.  I understand Little Man wanting to be with mom, they really did bond from the beginning.  Dad will be ok with sharing him with mom – I think so anyway.  I’m sorry they have to go their separate ways, but whatever makes them happy.  Dad and I have been on our own before, so we’ll be fine.
Frances:  Would you be ok if Little Man stayed, and mom left?  Can you be the head of the household to protect everyone?
Sarge:   I do that now, no big deal here.  I love mom and all, but I realize things don’t always last forever – I just want them happy.  I want everyone to be happy.
Frances:  Thank you, Sarge.  Is there anything that mom can do to make it easier on you?
Sarge:  Mom is great – she is always thinking about others.  I would like her to take care of herself, eat better and let’s get out and walk more.  She has been so concerned about others, she forgets to ask what she wants, what would make her happy?
Frances:  Sarge, you are so caring and loving of your mom and dad – but especially mom – I think you are right on target with your suggestions to mom.  Anything you would like to say to mom and dad?
Sarge:  Thank you for the time we’ve had together.  I love you both and understand things happen in the human world that we don’t really understand, but you are both such good people.  I just want both of you to be happy and if going your separate ways does that, so be it.  I love and always will, regardless of who lives with who.
Frances:  Thank you, Sarge for your kind words.  I will be talking with mom shortly and we can talk more then.  Bye for now.

Both:  Bye – thank you for talking with us.
Frances:  You’re both very welcome.

Frances

Words of Wisdom from a Poodle

Words of Wisdom from a Poodle

My clients are so amazing, both the humans and the furry ones.  The wisdom and guidance from the messages I receive, many documented in my various books, give such incredible guidance to read and re-read at different times of my life.  With my new chapter, moving to another home after 18 years, is very exciting and brings a bit of anxiety in the waiting for the actual day of the move.  My client asked me to speak with her dog. Fudge, who had crossed over a few months back, as she missed him so and wanted some words of wisdom.  I felt a very close bond with him and was happy to speak with him as well.  Here's the message from Fudge:

Hi Fudge - do you have a message for your mom?

Please tell mom the love she has been looking for is coming. It is within herself and allowing the outside energies to emerge with her gentleness. She has learned to feel the energies of those not in her best interest and embrace those who she can learn from and grow with. Some growth with others may be temporary, but have a profound impact. She has grown so much during her time of grief and learned more about herself - by herself – even if others are around her. Listen to that child within and embrace, skip and play for that child within is ready to emerge again in a powerful growth of joy. Take the proverbial jumprope and jump for your heart's content to glow and grow to embrace your life to come.

Thank you Fudge – I will read these words for my own guidance as well, you are so wise.

Yes, my dear, they are also a reflection for your new beginning as well.

Thank you, Fudge - until the next time we speak - bless you.

Bobcat's Goodbye

I recently received this email from my client and I am sharing her story with permission.

"You did a reading on my cat Bobcat last spring, I think around May 2020.  Something that he told you was about his passing, which was that he didn’t want to be kept alive with treatments and he wanted to go as naturally as possible.  This didn’t make sense to me at the time as he seemed far off from crossing over, and that was not the reason why I had the reading done.  However…on January 15th 2021, my Bobcat passed from advanced renal failure from diabetes.  I felt so guilty about his seemingly premature passing.  I felt it was my fault because I had to stop treating him with insulin shots a few months prior.  Bobcat had started to fight me with each injection, which was negatively impacting our bond, and about the same time, I had become very sick and learned I had cancer.  I couldn’t risk being scratched or bit by him so for both reasons, I stopped the insulin injections.  A couple weeks after he passed, I recalled the reading and found the transcript to refresh my memory.  His message made so much sense and caused me to let go of my guilt.  He went as he requested…especially at the end.  He passed three days after the diagnosis, and during that time, I kept him comfortable, gave him tons of love, and the night before I called the euthanasia service, I knew he was ready.  I had the honor of feeling his spirit leave his sick body; I felt his joy and excitement about being set free. I wrote about it in the following blog entry if you’d like to read it: Bobcat's Goodbye

All that so say, thank you for what you do!  And a good lesson in trusting in the reading, even if the message doesn’t initially seem to fit.

Warm regards,

Pamela Knudsen

Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning

It’s Spring Time!  Spring clearing and cleaning – where is all this stuff going?  My favorite chair to sit on, under and behind.  Strangers coming in to take things away and fixing stuff.  Why?  Sage and Ollie my two 4-year-old female cats are asking.  Sage is taking a new hiding place on top of the refrigerator – behind the cereal box or on the kitchen countertop behind the paper towel holder - maybe if she can’t see them, they can’t see her? I am going through drawers, closets, and the garage.  The stuff has been collecting for at least the 18 years I have been in my condo.  I am simplifying and releasing.  I have to reassure the cats when things leave, that they (the cats) are staying.  I have been revisiting the emotional attachment to things and as the Marie Kondo method – does it bring me joy?  My home has been my sanctuary for a year now – safe from the outside world of uncertainty.  My cats did not understand why I didn’t leave each day like I used to.  I explained to them that life is changing, and we have to share the dining room chairs (their favorite sleeping spots).  My dining room table holds my work laptop next to my personal laptop.  They had to get used to that and adjust too.

I am an only child and I do enjoy my alone time – but I have come to realize that I am happy wherever I call my home.  I will be beginning a new chapter of my life – March 31st is the last day of my day job.  I will be free to speak with the animals wherever my heart takes me – in my time and space.  It may be April 1st – April Fool’s Day - but I am no fool and I fool nobody.  My time will be free to be all of me.  For me - and for the animals.

For the Love of Animals,

Frances

What do Your Pets Want You to Know?

What Do Your Pets Want You to Know?
February 28, 2021
2pm - 3pm

Join us for this fun and interesting hour of conversations
with the animals in the safety of your home via Zoom.

Have you ever wondered:
What is an animal communicator? How does it work?
Do you speak dog cat or horse language?
Why does my cat come when I want her to come but I haven’t actually called her?
Do our pets pick up our emotions and illnesses?
Can our words hurt our pet’s feelings?
Why do they like some people and not others?
Do they have preferences in companions? (People and/or animals)
Do the foods we feed our pets really make a difference?
What is the difference between an animal trainer/behaviorist and an animal communicator?
What is a phone reading? Do I put my dog up on the phone?

Frances W Greenspan is an animal communicator and speaks telepathically to the animals. Her favorite clients are rescued pets – finding out why they are doing what they are doing and those that have crossed over – helping to heal the human who is grieving their loss.
Attendees will have a chance to ask one question regarding their pet - whether here or those who have crossed over. Depending on the number of attendees and constraint of time not all participants may have their question answered.
$25 to attend; Zoom link provided upon registration.

What I Love Most About Animal Communication

Thank You, I Love You
I was thinking about what I love most about speaking with the animals and it is the joy of conversation. The animals are so happy to have a voice; to have a say-so in their lives. To let their parents (yes, meaning you) know what they want, to tell them how much they love them and most of all – don’t worry so much.

Many times my clients tell me that they think their pet is hungry or in pain when all they really want is your full attention. We get so wrapped up in our daily lives; we forget to look at them directly in the eye, without the phone in our hand or the TV or radio blaring in the background. They want to be acknowledged, petted, played with or to simply sit next to you. They want to tell you thank you for rescuing me, thank you for the food in my stomach and the roof over my head.  Thank you, I love you, pet me.

For the Love of Animals,

Frances

Happy Clients

Crush is a 4-year-old Turtle who lives in a tank with a few new fish.   I'm worried he doesn't like his new friends in the tank (the fish).  Also worried that he doesn't get enough love from me some days when I'm busy. This causes him to go crazy and bounce off the sides of his tank. I mostly want to know he is comfortable and happy as he seems a good part of the time. - Heidi R.

Frances:  Hi Crush – how are you?

Crush:  "I'm ok – I want to play with mom more.  I want to be out of this tank more.  Why did those fish have to be here too? (I'm sorry Crush – let me get to your questions one at a time.  I will speak with mom about some Crush time every day.  Some days may be just 5 minutes – but we will talk later on how this can work for both of you.  You know mom wants you to be happy, right?)  Well, I suppose so – but she has a funny way of showing it with those darn fish in here with me – why did she bring them in?  (She thought you might want some company – seeing that you were all alone in the tank.)  They like to play hide and seek with each other – I certainly can't hide in this tank.  (I'm sorry Crush – but they're kind of nice to watch aren't they?)  Yeah – I suppose it's better than nothing.  But I want more of mom's time.  Just her and me, you know?  (Yes, honey, I know – we will talk later about that.  Is that why you bounce off the side of the tank?)  Yes, it gets her attention.  I can't speak to her like this, so that's what I do when she's ignoring me.  (Honey, mom can be very busy working – so again we will talk later today about Crush time.)  Ok, thank you. Please tell her I appreciate her taking me in and everything she does for me.  I especially enjoy the food – she gives me good stuff to eat – really good stuff.  I'm a lucky guy, you know? (Yes, honey I'm sure mom will be happy to hear that.)  Why do you call her mom?  (What would you like to call her?)  Beautiful – she's just so beautiful."

Heidi (after the reading):
"Good morning, Frances, what a difference in my little CrushCrush! He was so mellow all night as we hung out. Then this morning, he was all for coming out and getting his loves before breakfast.  I really can feel and see a difference. (He didn't eat his friends though). Thank you so much! You truly have a gift, Frances."

Interview: Intuitive Ink Radio Show

Can animals help you heal?  Anyone that has a cherished critter in their life knows the love and joy they bring with them. But now even scientists are proving that they can heal us, both emotionally and physically.

On July 23 I was interviewed by radio talk show host, Servet Hasan about exactly how our furry (and feathered, and other) friends help us do just that.

Click on the link and listen in - I also take a few live pet reading calls!

Buster is a Happier Dog!

After my recent "conversation" with Buster, his mom had this to say.....

Buster says "Thank you Frances for making sure my mom got me a new bench to securely jump into bed

It is interesting our bond seems like it has grown even stronger since you were here. And now Buster does not seem so stressed when I leave him. He is not happy, but he is ok with it. Thank you for all that you do!

We are very grateful for you!
